Privacy Policy.

Pako ("we", "us") provides hosted version control for large files. We are a European company and the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. Questions go to privacy@pako.gg.

Data we collect

• Account data — your name, username, email and password hash.
• Content — the repositories, files and metadata you choose to store.
• Usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
• Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.

Why we process it

To provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), to keep it secure and reliable (legitimate interests), to meet legal obligations, and — only with your consent — to send product updates you can opt out of at any time.

Where your data lives

Your repositories and personal data are resident in the European Union and processed under EU law. We do not move your data outside the EU without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.

Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run Pako — hosting, object storage and payments — under data processing agreements. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Delete your content or account and we remove it within a reasonable period, save for backups that age out on a fixed schedule.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email privacy@pako.gg and we'll respond within the statutory timeframe. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in, and minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Changes

We'll update this policy as the product evolves and note the date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
